Has anybody started monetizing the NFL playoffs, 2010 World Cup, or the Winter Olympics? If so what are you doing?

Usually it takes a Pay Per View event to be effective in monetizing sports events. Show people the event online in "almost real time", but make them give you some CPA info first.

The NFL, World Cup and Olympics are all free to watch and replayed over and over again all day and in the news.

Was thinking about it but really dont know if I will have enough time to implement it. Seems like it could be a pretty cool project to get into considering about 90 percent of internet marketers are borderline geek squaders and couldn't tell you what a saftey blitz is to save their lives! The reason, I say this is because it just seems more genuine when you know about a certain subject, you have better ideas in the area you are more knowledgeable about.....
