How can you monetize different software you create? For example, If I created a program that I was going to give away for free, how can I still make money off it? I understand that you can get paid to attach certain programs to different installs. What are some of the affiliates that do that, and how much do they pay? And are there any other ways to monetize it.

attaching programs to software would be pay per install, and you should check pay-per-install.org , as PPI talk is not allowed here afaik.

Other ways to monetize it, even if it is silly, but attach a donate buttom if the software is good, or put ads on it.

You will find though many more resources and ideas at pay-per-install.org

If your software Isn't good enough to sell then have them submit their email before they download it to build a list. If your software is good then just sell it.

You should look into attaching adware programs with your software. Check out pay-per-install.org and post the same question there.
