The reddit hive mind is smart my friend. A lot of people have tried but it's best to leave it alone. Reddit has shut down whole businesses that have tried to use them. I would suggest trying a different site. Best of luck!
reddit is the re-tArd and so are its users. sure some have a pulse and can breathe...but the statistics are something like less than 1/10 of users post/have an account. it's a community of leechers and mods that canNOT do their job (and have paid for various dedi servers for me; thanks reddick!)
you can easily manipulate and monetize whatever you'd like. they're dumb as shit over there. anyone saying otherwise likes reddon't and wants it to stay "pure"...
I was going to use reddit but then they said you can only link an image to the actual image, not a blog or website. They took down my image fairly quickly, even though I received a few hundred web page views. I haven't tried to find a way around it and am obviously not sure if it would be worth it. Would google realize my image gets a butt-load of traffic and rank it high in image search, who knows?
Reddit is crazy hard to monetize. I am trying now with an adult website and am getting thousands of visitors but none of the traffic is converting. I saw on analytics that some actually interact with my site though. So I am placing traffic trading ads to try and get better traffic from other sources. So don't try and monetize the reddit traffic, but instead trade it for more valuable traffic.
