Is it possible to monetize a youtube channel, music content with a static image in the videos? not submitting the music to a music distributor, just uploading it to youtube.

Yeah, you can definitely still make money with a music channel on YouTube, but it comes down to doing it right. Once you hit the Partner Program requirements you can earn from ads, memberships, super chats, etc. If you’re releasing original tracks, using a distributor that hooks into Content ID is huge too since you’ll earn when others use your music. Just keep in mind YouTube’s been cracking down on low-effort/AI spam lately, so the more original your stuff is, the better your chances of actually monetizing.

Yes, of course. There are plenty of channels doing the same style of videos.

Why waste time. You will need 4000 watch hours what if YouTube denies your channel. Just pay 20-50$ to distro you will make money for all the views from day one
Yes, that is one way. But some people want a clean channel. Paying for views, subs can harm your channel really badly. Making a channel organic is the best way for long-term business.
If you are making good content, 4k watch hours is nothing.

I am not talking about boosting with fake views I am talking about music distributor

Yes, you can monetize if the music is fully original. Using a static image is allowed, but YouTube may not like low-effort content. Better to add some visuals or lyrics to stay safe.

In this space I have seen good content struggle to get Organic 4k watch hours.
This is the problem I am experiencing - if you create an average 3 minute song video and the view rate is 25% its going to take a lot of time to get anywhere near 4k, as you so rightly say.
Its like race to the bottom of a bottomless barrel.
It took 11 days to get to 10 hours, uploading once per day.

Consider adding simple visualizers, they boost retention and CTR which helps revenue

If the retention rate is about one minute, you need 240k views. One single video can manage that if the content is of high quality. Anyway, the retention rate of 25% for 3 minutes
a 3-minute-long video is really low, and YouTube won't push it. You need to improve it.
For example, if you improve it, and the retention rate is about 2 minutes, you will need half of 240k views.
Believe me, if you let YouTube build your fan base naturally, you will have more benefits from that later.

Today I’m testing 5-minute tracks with a static image but with sound wave effects, etc.

This definitely will only work with original music. Youtube is a big no for AI music now especially if you want to monetize the channel

You’re probably gonna hit a wall with monetization since yt is super strict about reused content if the visuals are just a static image. You'll definitely need to add some original creative value or visual movement to get that channel approved for the partner program

i also making music with suno and upload to youtube, but i thinking is that the distro really help on getting 4000 watch hours and earn money? hmm

Definitely possible, I know some people doing it successfully with AI slop looped videos lol.
