My friend generates quite a bit of traffic on youtube catching reptiles and would like to start making some money off of it. The problem is that we're not sure how to target this sort of niche. Does anyone have any advice?

maybe pet supplies, online pet shops, pet insurance.

making a site.... and having sections for each exotic animal and being an affiliate of ebay and/or amazon... will mean you can sell books or cd's and dvd's about them etc :)

When I first saw this thread, I thought it said herpes. Now I thought that was thinking outside the box. Then I figured out it said 'herping'. (I had to look it up) I don't know but thanks for the laugh about herpes.

Find or write an ebook about raising chameleons or some other reptile. Here's one I haven't tried: Offer a free ebook about Raising Chameleons on CList (or ?), when they answer your reply with an offer of the ebook for free if they submit 5 (or ?) questions about Raising Chameleons. Then you have a basis for the content (what people really want to know) of your ebook, write it FAST, send it out and ask for reviews. Then put up your WH site and see what happens.

Thanks guys. Yeah, he's really obsessed with reptiles and has a few hundred thousand views on his videos. I took the advice and looked into some outdoor supplies that other herpetologists (?) would want. I'll work on the ebook idea, too. Thanks.

Think about the users looking at your video?

Are they kids who want to see a guy tackle a lizard or lizard owners trying to figure out how to control their pets?

Go from there.

If its kids, put up "Free iphone" or "free sports equipment" (since it is probably mostly guys) CPA email submits.

If it the latter tho, follow previous posts about the ebook and pet supplies.
