Monetizing Groupon

Anyone actively doing this? It's insane how many transaction occur daily on Groupon, both locally and nationally. Anyone taken one of their local SEO clients and got them featured on Groupon and split the profits? Looking at how many Getaways sell, their price, and the fact that they aren't as restricted to just local listings makes me want to bother some travel agency owners in my area.

How about getting Groupon to accept your listing since they can be rather picky. Anyone?

Now you've got me thinking! I wonder if I could set up some kind of Groupon deal using a dropshipper? As in, find a dropshipper that will deliver "product-x" for $20, then make a deal on groupon that says product-x retails for $60, but with this deal you can get it for 50% OFF!!! So I would pocket $10 per sale and basically do nothing. Seems like it's worth looking into at least.
