Monetizing Email List

Hi, I am a newbie here.

I have built my email list already, it's not that huge though but I think its
worth to try to even make a small amount from it.

Would someone out there can guide me on how to monetize it using CPA offers or Affiliates or any
other method?

I am looking forward to grow my knowledge starting with this list...

I just bought it to my friend... Is there a way I can monetize them?
 
It would be much easier to make money from it if it was targeted to a specific niche.
 
Generally speaking, list building works through specificity. For instance, if you had a giant email list of internet marketers, you could sell advertising space to web designers, content writers, graphic designers, etc. Unless you can somehow find a niche that most of your list is interested in, I'm not sure that you can really monetize it.

Okay, my friend told me that the list will work with various offers like insurance, discount coupons, online degrees. For instance there is no specific niche for them...

I have some mass email sending software along with a huge list of emails. I never use it but you can change the name of your email so your mass emails look legit (e.g if your email address is whatever, you could make it appear in the recipients inbox as an email from 'Adobe' for example, making them open the email, see what an awesome deal they have on Photoshop or whatever, they click and buy, you are in the money). It's a good way of earning money, as long as you keep your tracks covered.
 
If it is targeted niche then yes if scrapped or bought only if you have a very large list

It is always a problem if the list is not targeted. Some years ago, I made some money from such list by sending offers related to health. Everybody wants to a healthy body :D. So, no targeting needed for me.

Sounds like a bad deal to be honest - if your 'friend' sold you an email list that is 'general', most likely it is either scraped or bought. In either case, you'll get mostly bounces and zero conversions. The only way to make serious money through email lists is to build up a targeted list of LOYAL followers who trust your advice.

May I ask how much you paid your friend for it? How big is it?
 
In trying to create a nice landing page at the nmoment to get targeted e-mail list thats the best way to go about it other then scraping or buying a general list from what i read.
