Monetizing Direct Messages

Hey everyone,

So I have kind of a unique situation. I have found a great way to get in direct contact with people on Facebook Messenger. On any given day I get about 100k direct messages.

They are looking for information from me, but it's fairly generic and news related and I can't really nail anyone down to a specific niche to target them.

I tried throwing in a random CPA offer on the message after I provide the information and it didn't take very well and my engagement dropped by like 50%.

I need to find a less direct way to monetize maybe.

Anyone got any good ideas?

Interesting service. Might be a bit direct for my uses though. People are expecting to use chatbots for free.

Have you considered pushing them to your/a website that offers them the info for free, in return for their email and as part of their email registration process offering co-registration offers?

No, the expectation is to get it in messages. I already get their email addresses. But they arent targeted so basically useless.

I understand you want to be able to monetize answering the message, but you will not be able to do that in the message itself, only through engagement typically, redirection.

Most "ads" that you could use will want redirection to their site and expect to get their email at least in return for paying you.

The information that you provide them, can you spread it out over several messages to them? I think that if you could delay giving them the full answer that they are seeking, that would help maintain the engagement for a while. You won't be dismissed as a marketer right away

The fact that they are willing to message you shows motivation on their part. Are they motivated enough to go through a content locker to get the information they want? If not, try monetizing with SMS

I'm assuming you aren't manually sending 100k messages, so maybe just add something to the end of your message about joining your newsletter for daily... news or whatever or send them to your website if they have any further questions or comments about your service and then you have ads or cpa offers on your website/newsletter.

Or assuming some of these people visit your Facebook account in addition to chatting on messenger you could sell shoutouts on your Facebook wall or something like that.
