Monetizing An Authoritative Site That Ranks 2nd In Google

Through a chain of synchronicities I managed to meet someone who bought a url back when the internet first came out, I honestly think the name is 1 of the best if not the best url you can have for the niche. The niche is highly saturated but ranking 2nd on google means the hard work is over, I just need to monetize the site. What channels should I explore, I was thinking about selling ad space to people and partnering up with google and amazon.

Without knowing the niche it'd be hard to give advice but I wouldn't recommend giving that info out.

As said, it's hard to say without knowing the niche, but if you have cool metrics you can always sell a few links / promoted posts.

You can google up different monetisation methods and pick the ones that could work in your niche since you are not revealing the site.
