Monetizing a very special/small niche

    Hi,

    a company asked me to get them more sales to their webshop and im a bit out of ideas how to do that.

    Situation is as follows:

    The company is a small/med sized company that supplies other companies with high quality (very expensive) tools for electronic productions industry.
    Mainly air filtering, soldering/desoldering, quality control microscopes, cameras and such stuff.

    Now the main supplier for soldering stations has made some "cheaper" (120-300€) Stations that also aim for the hobby and semi-pro market, so they want to switch from only b2b and also supply private consumers directly.

    The problem i see is the market is not very big and there is alot of competition from well established companies.
    Its a market for products you buy once every 10 years or so, maybe some smaller orders in between for some extra soldering tips or whatever.
    The company sells only Stations from one single brand and the stations (plus accessories and replacement parts for them) would be the only thing that is of any interest for consumers in their webshop.

    Plus the company already supplies a few other webshops, so they would have to also fight competition they created by their own.

    Market is Germany/Austria and maybe minor sales to other european countries.

    Any ideas?
