Monetizing a University

Hey guys,

So I am back at University, first day of school is on Monday 8/30. I saw a recent thread on BHW about marketing CPA offers in college.

I printed out like 1000 flyers for an iPad offer and am going to distribute it soon...I hope it goes well.

But, before I do that, I need some help on marketing strategies; some effective, sure fire ways to see conversions at college.

I wanna know if anyone of you have done this already with great success and are willing to share some tips and guidelines. If you have any other ways to "monetize a university" please do suggest.

Hmm maybe you could spend a bit more time attaching the flyers with a paper-clip to books that'll be handed out or something ;)

Or post them through the little holes in lockers?

Put some on notice boards...

Or if you wanna be a right bastard then you could find one of them flyer holders, dump the current flyers and put yours hehe

I am going to do put it in the flyer holders haha. My university also has a newspaper, I could try and run some ads on that idk...this is my first offline project so I have no idea what works
 
I wouldn't go the newspaper though, when I was in school we used to read the newspaper out of boredom or use it as scrap paper so any ads posted there will be not even seen. Stick with the flyers....

Schools are a real good source of lead for people that get off their butts.
 
Keep me posted on your results. I go to school in Texas as well. I've been focusing on the college student/university market for a while. The market is huge and there are endless ways to market if you think outside the box. Offline marketing basically covers your tracks so this is really profitable. I've tried many different methods, some work great, some don't. I'm in the process of scaling things up so things are looking better. Interested to hear your results though.
 
Try sticking fliers above the urinals in the bathroom. Start with something along the lines of "Hi there, I hope you're enjoying your pee". Students might as well read them as they will be standing there for about 20 secs.
 
I always read those things when I was in college. Also, put some on the back of the stall doors, they may stay there a lot longer too since they are more "hidden".

Thanks for all the tips. Your ideas are pretty good. Right now I am just gonna try and keep the flyers in some computer class. I hope that works out well. I am actually gonna go and do it in 4 hours or so with one of my buddies.

I will keep you guys updated and tell you whats going on.

Yea guys...it didnt go so well...distributed like 700 flyers, but only got 5 conversions...idk what is wrong, but I think college students are pretty smart about this kind of stuff and I dont blame them.

If you guys wanna suggest something other techniques, or have any experience in this, dont think twice to share.
