Monetizing a subreddit

Im the admin of a couple of subreddit in the same sfw niche, I monetized a smaller sub for a while with affiliate links but got spooked and removed them a while back.


What I can share about my audience:
-Majority 1st world English speakers
-Mix of consumers and business owners(perhaps 10/90)
-Business owners have money to spend
-I have associated discord with 2k+ members
-I've had several dm's by people looking to partner with my to promote their services or tools
-I've had dm's from very influential people in the niche
-100% SFW

We created an original app which we have not promoted yet due to some issues. We have also developed another app, we ripped the idea off an existing app in the niche. Plan is to use these apps to get emails from users and then send them emails for our paid service/app.

Next step: launch our copycat app which we plan to do tomorrow if lucky if not next week.

copy cat saas(B) has been launched and posted in the main subreddit just have to wait for signups now :)
 
Got our first signup yesterday; we may have to tweak the landing page later this week as people are viewing the page but not signing up - the tool is completely free so they need to signup to get full access.

Will wait and see how things progress this week with more activity in the sub.
 
(B) is ranking okay on Google so far, I'm going to tweak the landing page today for SEO. Automod also posts a link automatically however as the majority of Redditors are mobile users, automod posts are automatically collapsed. I might need to unsticky automod posts in the future for better visibility.

I also had a talk earlier with a whale in my niche who is in my discord. I've vetted him and checked his credentials, and he is legit. It was an informal chat but he is very connected and also has ongoing projects himself. Ideally, I think our collab will be the best for my second sub however, I'm trying to be as open as possible.

I've been approached several times in the past for collaboration opportunities but have turned them all down. However, I'm willing to be open to collaborations now.

The current conversion rate is about 3%, I will be tweaking the landing page tomorrow to increase the conversation rate. I have also posted B in a couple of other subs in similar niches.
 
B is still slowly growing, although slower than expected. I have a small email list now with a mix of users. I'm currently building an agency, and I'm planning to reach out next month to offer my services.

Also connected with an industry leader that I had seen doing self-promotion before, I had banned them earlier. I decided to reach out to them to build a relationship as they are an industry leader and also it's a win-win having them post as they host events, which I can attend for free.
