I have a music video parody I am trying to monetize and it was denied. I was under the impression if you create your own background tracks, record your vocals and change the lyrics (parody the lyrics), that monetization was OK under fair use laws. I've seen plenty of other parodies of this song and other songs monetized. I've also parodied other songs and didn't have this problem. The song is a parody. Its a spoof.

Just a guess... Maybe try uploading it into a YT account that is already monetized?

Yeah I think it has to do with that specific account then, unless you are UL'ing it to your account the other parodies are in?

I already have several monetized videos on this account. It's just this particular video they rejected it. I don't know why. Plus it already has over 400K hits so Im kinda bummed they rejected it.

Never mind. It appears my video may actually just be a victim of this YT crackdown.
