Monetizing a free file hosting website

Hi everyone,

I own a smaller (but still decent sized) file hosting and image hosting website. I bought them off of Flippa several months ago. I get income from text-link-ads. When I bought the sites, they were making around $110 per month with 3 text ads. Now, it's doing about half of that.

I can't use AdSense, as it's against the Terms of Service. Does anybody else have any ideas on how I can monetize my website differently? Any other alternatives to AdSense that would allow free file hosting?

My suggestion bro is the following

1)Remove any ads, make it as convenient as possible for the users(Both downloaders and uploaders)

2)After you have decent UV per day (5k+) , offer your uploaders to upload their files with a gateway above it, and offer them money for each download (Something like sharecash)

Make sure to keep your site ad free, normal ads will just annoy your users and block the site from growing.
