Monetize with Youtube or a Network?

Hi all,

A month ago I started publishing in Youtube some videos. I'm in learning phase, for promoting and monetizing in the near future (I hope). Some days ago I learned about the Networks, until then I only knew about Youtube monetization option.

Anyway, I have some doubts. If I've started monetizing with Youtube, can I switch to a Network? I know is soon, I just want to learn about it for the time comes.

In the other hand, YT has given me some "yellow" signs for some of my videos, which prevents monetizacion from those videos. Does that prevent me from Network monetizacion too? You would think so, but in their requirements they only ask that your channel is in good condition, and mine is.

I've tried talking to several MCN's, but I guess they get some hundreds of emails daily, so no answer yet, and probably never.

Anyone knows anything about this?

Network wont give you more money or anything like that..

Recently, MCNs will not accept you unless you have ZERO copyright strikes. The yellow claims that you have are still okay. Also, you gotta meet their minimum requirements.


You can swtich to a network later on if you wish. And you can go back to YouTube if your contract with the MCN is over. Be careful, read the contract carefully especially your shrare percentage and contract length.

Stick with youtube adsense, MCN has 1 strike and you're out policy. And also MCN will take a certian % of your earnings.

depending on your type there are some super good networks out there. for example before I partnered with curse gaming my deal with youtube was I would get ~60% of the full ad revenue my videos generated and I could only cash in after that amount got over $100. but now through curse I am getting 90% and get weekly checks.

The problem with networks is that they take another 40%-50% cut after youtube that their initial 45% cut. Unless you're getting millions of views each month it's not worth it. Going directly with adsense is your best option.
