Monetize site on addiction?

I have a site on alcoholism/addiction. It is maybe 130 pages. Has a DA of 40 and most of its webpages have a PA in teens.
It has shit traffic. Maybe 50 visitors a day. It is monetized with adsense.
I am building a big web 2.0 network to backlink it but the network is new and providing no rank boost. If 3 months is the approximate time I need to wait to see any help from the network Tier 1 links than I am about 2 months away from it.
If I went to Offervault and picked a rehab program, pulled the adsense and put up only the CPA, and then bought some traffic would it be OK. Would that mess things up with Adsense later on.

I saw this KW targeted traffic on SEO Clerks. That is what gave me the idea, i have never bought traffic before so I wouldn't know good traffic from a spaceship.

I gave all the info on my site because I am getting desperate and I am hoping someone will share a good idea with me.
The site is about 7 years old.
BTW, I do like the idea of buying traffic and being less dependent on kissing Google's ass but I have no way of knowing if it is a good idea or not. Or if it will mess things up later on down the road.

If you want to go with Adsense don't buy traffic. It's not going to help you earn money. Go for the organic search optimization and start ranking from there and get the organic traffic.

I am thinking that I want to leave Adsense and go with CPA. What I want to know is if making the jump to CPA and buying traffic would adversely effect my ability to go back to Adsense once I reach an acceptable level of organic traffic.

If your site is 7 year old then you can easily get good amount of organic traffic daily.

Sell drugs?....

The traffic you would buy is mostly generated by bots and maybe if it's not bot traffic it will not be traffic that's relevant to your niche. You can also try to engage more on the social media to attract visitors. I am sure you can find addicts on Facebook or Twitter

As you already said; find a niche related product or cpa offer and promote it on your site. I think if you combine adsense with a product or cpa you can see for yourself what's working or not.
