Say i remake the instrumental of a katy perry, justin bieber song etc. (maybe an acoustic version or something) will i be able to monetize it ? I ask that because i've even seen people monetizing lyrics videos. Anyone has experience with this ? Would be very nice to know.

interested too, but promoting my own beats.

There are a few sites that have affiliate programs for producers to sell beats, sound packs, accapellas, midi files, anything.
You could also just do link shorteners to the original song, idk. a few ways if you get creative

I'm not so experienced in this type of monetization but I had a friend who did likely the same (5 seconds of his OWN instrumental appeared in the video and blocked his channel in 2 days).

If you use the same music you may have copyright issues. Try making your own original music.

It's a no go.

Versions of instrumentals are not fair use, if you make $$$ from it you may be charged royalties.

Instead of monetizing it, use it as leeway for your original stuff. Some people have remade hit hip hop songs and get new clients/buys that way. If you play instrument, use it as attention seeker. If you have copyrighted and orignal content and youtube does not let you monotize, link to other page. A lot of rappers/singers have mixtapes and get popular with copyrighted songs, but release for free. Orignal stuff will always be better in the long run though. Mix it up.
