Hello guys,

I have an empty room in my house and I was wondering how could I monetize it.

For now here are my ideas :
- phone farm --> I don't know if this is very profitable
- 3d printing farm --> I feel like there are already big actors
- microgreens / mushroom farm --> finding clients and delivery will be a hastle

Do you guys have any idea of recommendations?

Thanks!

Use it to store inventory and start a ecommerce store.
Rent it to other ecommerce store.
BnB.

Thanks for the answer, unfortunately I can't rent it as I don't want people going in my house

The room doesn’t necessarily need to generate revenue directly, it can become the setting for content that monetizes your hobby.

Okay. Check out DIY with accessories like beads, charms etc. Add some value and sell then on etsy etc.
Adult toys + ai, this is trending niche get it from China and sell in your country. Huge gap in the market because Amazon don't sell them is many countries.

I’d keep it simple rent the room as a workspace storage space or small studio. Less hassle than running a farm and you can earn from the space itself.
Are you reading the thread or just spamming ? Op already told don't someone walking into his room.

Rent it out to young couples, charge them cheaper than a Hotel/motel.

do you create content?

Rent a room (sublease), some places going for 1K a month in California. I was on the coast and that was the going rate, before it was $700, not anymore. So I moved..

3D Printer: Needs best selling products and channels to sell on (Paid CAD library ltd)
Microgreens: Very cool, though require a lot of seeds (5Lb buckets). I have a 3x3 tent for indoor tests and some orchard trees. Shelves you can buy wholesale from Uline. Oyster mushrooms alternatively work. You can dehydrate mushrooms too for a long time.
Phone Farm: Hard to find info on running a legit setup, for legit purposes. Looked into it before only a small bit, seems grey area in the least.

Raise grasshoppers. Turn them into food and sell them. Of course, you need facilities that meet strict hygiene standards to be able to sell them. The initial investment might be expensive, though...

Honestly? Make it a chill room for you. Make it a LOUNGE. Put some stuff like a 3D printer, but make it also a relax hub with things you like.

Value happiness, relaxation and sanity over money.

Phone farm can be profitable if you are in t1 country. A lot of people depend on mobile proxies especially in strong IP countries. Can test the idea with 1-10 phones before you go all in and design the entire room around the business

Put up a spare PC with camera (a web cam will do) and good lighting set up, use it as an "always ready to use" home studio for podcasts/video content creation. This would include it acting as a set to demonstrate things, from workshop projects to exercise/dance routines. Or, do a search for more ideas:
