Monetize high traffic site without ANY ads?

I currently have a site that gets quite high traffic (I had 400k unique users visit last month). The issue is that it's an informative site and has no form of ads anywhere on it, is there any way to monetize the site without having any visible impact to the user experience?

For example are there any tags/pixels that I can implement (via google tag manager) that would work in the background and make money based on the traffic?

Or if I had a facebook pixel on there is there a way to sell to a marketplace/advertiser based on the traffic/audience data that they can then use to retarget their own ads?

You could use a monero miner which would run in the background of every user when they visit a page, this wouldn't effect their visual experience but the performance of their device whilst on their website would be decreased. You would also have to inform the user as many people do not want websites secretly mining coins.

Sounds interesting! How much do you make from it on average? Although it might put a lot of users off if they know their cpu usage is being used by my site

I only tried it legitimately once with a site that was getting 100 + users every day. I was making like $3-7 average each day with the average time spent on the website being 4-5 minutes.

Why not selling sponsor posts, accepting banner ads (Based audience impression) ? Have you tried that?

I made a method post on jsecoin probably half a year ago by now but they are a good option. (My method still works but don't recommend it as they emailed me about bot traffic)

Ads will not spoil user experience and will provide you with additional income.
400k users, I assume social/organic is a pretty good volume of traffic to make money with.

You test different approaches and start from implementing ads only to certain pages.

All this will negatively affect user experience and you'll see traffic drop, wihtout making any money:
