Monetization questions and help

    Hello there,

    i got my movie niche pretty much automated and i would like to spread business into Instagram.

    What i do not understand is the monetization since i see that you cannot place a link under the image that you post, you can have a link only on your profile description.

    So basicly you can only post the domain name in the picture but very few people are going to read it, open safary and visit it.

    I see a lot of guys are selling shoutouts, but i'm wondering how easy it is to sell shoutout?
    What amount of followers do you have to have to be interesting for selling shoutouts?

    Also, when you sell shoutout, how does somebody sell the product through you when you cannot place a clickable link anywhere?

    You place the link to your landing page in the profile description. The way I do it is I set my LP up so that it leads them to my content locker

    Well the safest place to post your link is in the description box (the url of your domain) and when a post a picture you just say something like "if you want to watch this movie go to the link that is in my description box"

    If you have active users you can start selling shoutouts when you have around 10k followers (some may thing differently but this is just my opinion), i would start offering a shoutouts for $5 at the start...

    Thnx for the answer guys, so basicly the only way to get clicks is to change my profile website adress.

    But how the guys who are buying shoutouts get the clicks? I guess they have a big logo of their product which makes people google it and find it or something? I'm asking this because i see shoutouts cost a lot but the benefit doesn't look realisticly as high as the price. Maybe you can count in your brand PR such as benefit as well but still...

    this is what i have been wondering all along. the only link that can exist in a shoutout is a mention, which is clickable and links to the buyer's profile. but i still wonder how efficient that is.

    i shoutout a teespring post, 1 person actually went over to like and follow the account/post. this is from 150 likes. at this rate, 1500 likes a shoutout can only bring 10 users over to the profile, and how many of them is going to click the link in the profile? 3?

    I think for a successful shoutout, the buyer and the seller's page have to correspond really well and the buyer really have to work on the caption and the post and make it extremely catchy and attractive to know more

    In relationship to the link i make people add me on skype , then they click on the link that is on my skype...
    its more hard to monetize like this but works well wihtout any bans.
