So I'm stuck in this weird spot...
A little bit of backstory:
I used to write on a website with an online acquaintance, never knew them in real life, but we were good enough friends online. I would write posts and we would split the income, he would manage SEO and bring traffic in.
This was 3 years ago, and I totally forgot about it up until two weeks ago. The site has a total of 740 posts and from my estimates a total word count of well above 800K. Most of these posts are spun but they are all perfectly readable and unique. I published 600 of them and the last 140 were by said friend. I stopped publishing 2 years ago after I couldn't contact my friend. Here and there between the last 2 years, I would message him to see if he would respond, and he never does. The website hasn't been updated in over 2 years but I still have a working wordpress author login.
TL;DR and the situation.
My "friend" ghosted me and left me with a fully-fledged Wordpress site that hasn't been updated in two yearss. I have an author account for the page and can write posts, but nothing else.
What I see in the account:
Should I monetize the site? If so, how would I go about doing it, I am only able to create posts, and cannot put the needed verification code for ad networks in the <head> tags. Are there any networks that only need body tags? I've tried with multiple already but can't get it to work.
