monetising a hacking/security website?

One of the sites I have is hellboundhackers.

I'm not allowed to post URL's, so please google it or add org.

Stats:
-age: 5+ years
- homepage has a PR of 5 and many other pages are PR 3 / 4.
- members (confirmed via email): 53,255 ... out of which 200 or so are active
- thousands of pages and articles, its a BIG site!
- traffic: 1,600+ unique visitors / 16,000+ page views a day


Problems:
- adsense and many other ad networks refuse to allow my site, due to content
- frequent members are teenagers and/or are not the type for purchasing items (they prefer pirating)
- around 20% traffic is regular visitors and many use FF with ad-blocker enabled


What I'm currently doing:
- CJ ads for hosting (with a 0.02% CTR ... barely gets any clicks and thus zero sales)
- Upgrade to paid membership (hardly anyone does)
- signed up with a backlinks selling company (only 1 person currently purchased a back link... again given my content it puts a lot of people off)


I started this site years ago without any intention to make money from it, but now given my interest in IM it would be nice to atleast break even from it!

I'm thinking perhaps my next step is promote amazon products? (hacking/computer/dating books)

Any further suggestions on what I could be doing?


My next thought would be selling it, however... how would I value it?

Given its potential, traffic, seo, ranking, member database I would imagine I could get a good few thousand dollars... however it makes no money!

Any experience website valuers have a rough idea?
