Monetisation of Code?

I can code Python. NOT super well, I'm not some code ninja, just a guy who likes programming in Python and who's starting to get good at it.

(I'm kinda newish. I can code, but still a bit newb)

How can I monetise this? A couple things to note though so no-one says something which I can't/won't do.

1) I would greatly greatly GREATLY prefer something which wasn't employee-based. I'd rather not do jobs for people.

2) I don't want to code fake hacks for CPA. While I can do that (in fact, for fun I coded a fake Paypal Monkey Generator in about an hour or two once), generators as a niche seem to be very very very greatly saturated.

3) Preferably passive (to a degree) Yeah, i know, passive income is hard blah blah blah, but if I could just set it up and make even a dollar a day, that would be great.

So guys, any ideas?

Make an e-book about how to code python. Set up a PayPal checkout for your landing page and promote it.

Dude you sound lazy as hell do you realize that?

-You don't want to work for someone
-You don't want to code in a working niche(yes its blackhat, but it works)
-You want it to be passive income
and lastly but not least;
-You want US to give you the idea?

Wouldn't you prefer if I directly sent you $2,000 a month to your bank account without asking anything?

But seriously though, a couple things -
1) Yeah, I do sound lazy. With a very very good reason. Because I AM.
2) Working for other people is shit. I've done the math, I've read every business book in my home library a thousand times. Hence the not wanting to work for other people thing.
3) My qualms about fake generators is the super-high level of saturation. Unless I could get past that, I wouldn't have a chance of making cash.
4) Yeah, you know what, I would like some help. I joined after lurking for years cause that's what I thought BHW was about. Helping people.

Well BHW isn't about helping people. It's about exchanging and sharing. It goes both way. You can't ask a method if you haven't proven that you are a hard worker and driven by success. You lurked for years and yet you missed all the threads about it.

When I say working for other people, I mean as an employee. Who makes more, the franchisee of McDonalds, or the pimply teens behind the counter? The franchisee (ultimately Head Office makes the most money though).

If you're getting paid $50k a year from a company, you must be making in some way or another more than $50k worth of value to the company for them to justify paying you. If I'm a freelancer who gets paid $100 a job, I must provide more than $100 of value. Yeah, that's fine, but I just think it's a bad deal exchanging your time for money.

You can always make more money, but you can't ever make more time.

It's far more profitable to leverage other people's time instead - say, as a business owner, or a guy who set up a traffic funnel.

EDIT: Oh, and when I say lazy, it's not that I'm not motivated to succeed. I am. I just want to succeed in a scalable, efficient manner. That's my type of lazy - not doing unnecessary bullshit if I don't have to.

Well it's either you lead or get leaded. It's either you give direction or get direction. And by asking what to do, you become somekind of an employee waiting direction for a specific job. It proves that you're probably not ready to make money on your own. So keep reading this forum. You'll be ready once you can take action without waiting for specific ideas or methods. Once you find what you want to do, then do it.

Unemployed people make $0/hour. Working at McDonalds will make you more money than the 1 dollar/day you said you wanted in your original post.

It's fine to have dreams of bigger things and be motivated, but you have to start somewhere, and sometimes that means putting in a few long, crappy hours for half the amount you think your time is worth.

Passive income only comes when you've refined your art to such a degree that you can automate it. Whether that means just hiring people to do your job for you, or actually setting up a website with enough SEO to get you free customers forever, you need some sort of investment to start. That investment comes from saving up the money you earned at McDonalds.

OP, first of all, you probably aren't skilled enough as a Programmer to earn a full time income from it.
Secondly, you might be able to make a little pocket money but will probably have to compromise on what you are willing/not willing to do.
