ok, I do not know who are these mofos...

But I'm seeing some real MOFOs monetizing the tragic Haiti disaster by creating useless groups "supporting Haiti" and useless apps too.

When I see the groups, they just bring facebook users to a page to do CPA offers which will be "donated to Haiti".
Now I'm seeing some application claiming that when a facebook user does a survey, they will donate it to Haiti.

    God dammit, cruel bastards.

I'm not sure if this group is one of them:

Completely agree with you BlackSeng, there are issues where you need to draw the line.
It has come to our generation that the dollar determines the amount of success.
And the illusion that life is to succeed that drive people to these acts.
Completely loosing sight of reality, friends, fellow humans and the fact that happiness doesn't come in the form of green paper strips.
If the power for the dollar has exceeded compassion, we are heading to dark times.

Completely agree, we're all in IM to make money, but lets slow down on this one...look wtf is happening, lets pass on trying to make a quick buck on this one and take 10 minutes and $100 send it to the right place to help these people.

So what though...it's just wrong in principle. It's the same reason I wouldn't be completely thrilled to be a cigarette sales rep...knowing that I'm somewhat contributing to people getting lung cancer and dying. I guess there's just a line that some of us draw when it comes to ethics...even BH marketing ethics.

    I digress as well.

Yeah I saw a couple of those as well. Plus they are trying to make the groups go viral by saying sh** like "for every click you make, we will donate $0.05" wtf???? and then they tell you to invite your friends and try to get you to fill out CPA offers

"If someone else is doing it, why shouldn't you? They make bank, why aren't you taking some of their profit?"

That is some fucked up logic. Not everything in the world has to have a dollar sign on it. The people out there making money off the back of the Haiti disaster need to take a look at themselves.

To those exploiting Haiti and reading this:

Send the money to Haiti. The country has the largest number of Orphans is in utter food deprivation, chaos, homelessness and a lack of water.. do you really need the extra pennies in your account?

You mean every organization including Red Cross, right?

Did Red Cross get their funds from "Help us do a TV advert to collect more money" or "Help poor Haitian kids, so they don't starve" campaign? Please answer the question.

How much $$$, Red Cross delegates to the exact country that is victimized by a natural disaster donated by the public, you don't know. Their "administration fee" and other "costs" are not known to the public. Do you think they all work for free to save starving & hungry children? Do you think they all bike to work? Who pays for the boss' petrol money and his/her kids at home? Do you think they live in a shelter with no lights and make a bonfire to stay warm? Who pays for that. You do.

Yes. The common denominator is $$$. Everything does boil down to $$$. So for me to say, I wouldn't do it for the $$$ is a straight up f'ing lie. Hey..Do you think Zynga who just collected a million dollars for the Haitian fund will give that 1 million dollars to Red Cross? ...I'll try to say "yes" without LOL'ing all the way down to the bank to deposit 250k so I can get a brand new Brabus S500 (or w/e it's called when it is a Brabus)

remember 9/11..remember 2005 tsunami ( this one actually in my country and my neighbor province/state..so yeah i saw it with my own eyes)..this kind of moment usually put us human in unity and help each other..imho if in this kind of moment some people still thinking about making bucks, that's insane..business and humanity shouldnt be mix up together..there is a time and place when we focus our effort to generate money, but not in these kind of moment. IMHO

I have no idea about the Red Cross that wasn't the point i was making i was talking about individuals expoilting the situation in Haiti for their own financial gain. If big organizations are making a profit from Haiti then this is wrong also but just because they are doing it doesn't make it right and doesn't mean it's okay to do it because everyone else is. :)

I compare this to stealing charity money and think that exploiting other peoples suffering is just disgusting.

There are other ways to make money without stooping so low!

    So thats quite a statement.
I bet you think your pretty cool, that you would make bank of these people, if your hands weren't tied to other projects.
Do you actually think charities don't have to explain there liquidity flows.
And that they don't get scrutinized?
Why don't we start with you providing some fact.
Show me numbers, names and dates.

I bet most charities that took donations have extremely high administration fees...just my logic telling me this.

And I'd never donate money to any organization with close government connections.

What if some of them donate? One can't just judge all of them by the few crooks who making killing. I recall seeing a bh method posted here on the forum once where author was suggesting creating just the kind of group to play on people's humane feelings. Shit if some of those folks will fill up my cpa i will gladly drop out 30% to redcross or whoever they choose!
Speaking of a redcross.. i heard lots of stories but it wasn't up untill hurricane Katrina that i had to deal with red cross. That my friends is indeed one heluva bunch! Again it was back at Katrina . I plugged in as volunteer and i was yet to see a single dollar spent on victims by red cross. All the shit they used was donated . Now,i saw some ass-hats walking around with red cross on their white robes but that's about it!

Back on the topic..I'd do it too ....AND donate part of the profits .

I saw on **************.com there was one guy doing this, asking people to promote his Facebook page, and asking ************** staff to verify all profits were donated. I think this is a very smart way to have people donate without opening their wallets. I hope the operation is legit. It sure is smart.

well it is really kind of simple.
give to your local church ..they have a mission in Haiti...the money goes directly to services. or
    rent a plane
get 100K in one dollar bills
    fly over the area
throw the money out ...a few bucks at a time
that way the people get the money ...some good , some bad...but id beats all the bs outfits who scrape 40% off for 'admin'

I love how anti-Americans will always try to paint the American government as something evil when in FACT we have done more to protect the human race and Human Rights worldwide than any other form of government on earth! Is the U.S. Government perfect? Hell no! But I'd rather live in the U.S.A under the protection of our Constitution and Government than live in any other country on this planet.

If America is so bad, then why do people risk there very lives to come to my country? I don't see people risking their lives to live in Cuba, Pakistan, Mexico, etc. etc. I wonder why?
