I'm writing my own blogging software for my current project, as I want it to be part of my portfolio as-well as a little niche website to bring in some coin, I'm not scared to give out the niche because it's a fairly overpopulated one as is, and there's enthusiasts everywhere.

I've removed the logo and site address, it supports video and text posting, has commenting working properly as-well and is completely responsive, and works on mobile great. I'm just having problems getting the design right. I can do all of the coding, but I'm horrible with design, I'm trying to find the best way to incorporate advertisements on the main page, as I've noticed (with myself) that I almost always click on the advertisements when browsing a vehicle related website, and I'm sure a lot of other enthusiasts do as-well.

This is only about two days in the works and I plan to have the website up and running within the next two or three days, but I need to make it so it doesn't look horrible, and need to find the best way to get advertisements in, non intrusively.

Take a look at the "HeatMap AdAptive" Wordpress theme, it should give you a good idea on how to implement your ads.
