MobilePress bad for SEO?

Hey Guys,

I was just curious if anyone knows whether or not MobilePress is bad for SEO. I've heard of people on here getting dinged by Google because of the same URL showing different information. Some type of "misleading" or something.

But anyways, each version of the site (Desktop and Mobile) are going to each have some content and a link, but the link is going to be different for each version (the content will be the same for the most part--but the templates are totally different so there's a few slight changes in words).

Any thoughts?

Edit: Actually.. how would that work though? The URLs are the exact same. hmm haha

This is why responsive designs are becoming so popular. If you go with a responsive design, you dont have to worry about any of these issues, or using a mobile plugin at all

I'm having a had time trying to figure out what a "responsive" website design is, even after looking it up on Google. What does it mean? Is it just like having a separate site all together like "m.domain.com"?

I suppose MobilePress does have an option where you add /?mobile and /?nomobile to the URL, I wonder if there's a way to work that in my favor.

Edit: Like... maybe any domain.com requests from mobile users I could just redirect to /?mobile so that the URL atleast looks different. Do you guys think that would work?

You need a mobile redirect script to redirect the mobile users to the mobile version of the website.
