I don't see why the debate is limited to Mobile Views, and not just any type of purchased view. If you have any moral issues, than whether its a Mobile View, or some guy pressing F5 and rotating proxies, you know it isn't legitimate views. YouTube isn't really something where most people are going to have moral issues. Boosting videos up using non-legitimate views isn't like to cost a legitimate small timer too much money. Anyone risking a good chunk of money on YouTube is really living dangerously. Its "ok" for numbers, but if you have publicly viewable analytics, its terrible for your reputation.
I mean any kind of view botting. Personally i see nothing wrong with getting 'assistance' in getting your content viral. However! People who abuse it ruin it for others.
I Wish there was a way that it doesnt say mobile views, so that you can have statistics Public so people wont cry about "botting"
I agree with you, except for the analytics, if you fake comments and likes very few people could see the botting going on...average YT user doesn't know sh1t about mobile views trick.

These past few weeks most people have been commenting, and voting the comment up, which says "Fake views! Botted views!" so even if people normally wouldn't know it, they are getting called out quite frequently. If you are trying to run a legitimate business/channel/campaign, you certainly wouldn't want to risk for reputation over something that can be called out so easily.

I understand where are you coming from, but I disagree partially. It's not that critically damaging for your rep to be a known cheater nor it is a YouTube career-ending menace.
Otherwise at this point in time Smosh or sxephil wouldn't be making ten of thousands of $$$ per month.
