Hey guys

I have a site designed with 5 sections (which includes some on-site content). For my mobile site, I only have 3 sections with much of the content hidden.

Does hiding the content on the mobile version affect SEO??

Hiding content depending on device is a feature of the wordpress theme Jupiter 6 so I'm not sure how it affects the code...

Thanks in advanced.

I feel hiding content is a bad practice both on Mobile SEO and Desktop SEO.

What's the purpose of you hiding the content on mobile? Even when the theme has that feature, I don't think you are required to use it.

My website shows all information, whether on desktop or mobile. I would like to consider people who are mobile-dependent that's why I make sure that they can easily access what they want to see.

SEO-wise, mobile visitors still count. The operative term is "optimization."

Remember: Always put yourself in the shoes of the visitor. :)

Mobile responsive is much important for your site.
Don't hide any content in the mobile version of the site so try to publish all the contents.
Mobile seo is more effective than other imo, so use the mobile responsive.

Throughout world people are more active on their mobile phones, so make website mobile friendly and do not hire content as what others here are saying.

Ah okay thanks to all for the responses.

The reason why I hide content on mobile is to make it load faster...I tried to design the mobile site like an App (function-focus) as opposed to the desktop which contains the same functions but a bit more info.

What you guys are saying to design both mobile and desktop site to be the exact same (or content-rich) to rank...

You can choose same theme, but optimize your site mobile friendly then you don't need to hide your contents.
