Today so many recent and newest technological updates are taking place with the time. Mobile Search Optimization is one of the finest update going on. Rather than a want, mobile phone has become a need for everyone. As of today the percentage of computer users is less than the percentage of mobile users as the ratios of the mobile users are increasing constantly. Rather than logging on to the computer every person prefers to do a quick search on their mobile phones. So we can say that today things have changed too far which is the reality as everything is different and incredibly technical. Basically we can say that it is becoming a mobile world.

Its a trend now to have mobile sites and in next few years almost every site might have a mobile version of it so optimization will be needed for sure.

Mobile phone are much popular than computer and user of the mobile phone is also increasing day by day around the world. We have to optimize the sites on mobile as well as computer.

I'm pretty sure the ~5 billion people who live on less than $10 a day would disagree with you rather strongly regarding that. You can't eat a mobile phone, you can't live in a mobile phone, and while you can wear a mobile phone, I don't think that quite counts as clothing. Plus, if you don't have electricity a mobile phone isn't going to do you much good at all. where did i got this ?

what? ..people that don't have a mobile phone most likely don't have the internet either.. so we wouldn't be marketing to them anyways. and if they live on 10$ a day.. they aren't going to be buying our crap either.. i don't know what your point in that post was.. but whatever.

like it was already stated.. mobile is growing.. I know a lot of people personally that only use their phones to get on the internet with.. so mobile marketing IS a big deal.

Years ago you needed a website that was mobile form, i.e example.mobi . With the advent of faster networks, 4g, etc, regular websites can be loaded on mobile devices therefore mobile is one in the same with regular SEO. On page, and offpage elements.

I agree mobile SEO is the same.

Unless you are talking about a website that is optimized for mobile browsers, the SEO and algorithms remain the same IMO

If you search google for 'google mobile seo' you will find interesting article about this (I can post link yet).

Thanks for the heads up, especially the following section:

Why we recommend responsive design

Using a single URL for a piece of content makes it easier for your users to interact with, share, and link to your content, and a single URL for the content helps Google's algorithms assign the indexing properties for the content.

No redirection is needed for users to get to the device-optimized view, which reduces loading time. Also, user-agent-based redirection is error-prone and can degrade your site's user experience (see "Pitfalls when detecting user-agents" section for details).

Responsive web design saves resources for both your site and Google's crawlers. For responsive web design pages, any Googlebot user-agents needs to crawl your pages once, as opposed to crawling multiple times with different user-agents, to retrieve your content.

This improvement in crawling efficiency can indirectly help Google index more of the site's contents and keep it appropriately fresh.

Desktop wont be completely effaced, far from that. The trends is mostly telling on time spent on desktop devices as opposed to mobile devices.
