There is no fixed number, but to stay safe I usually keep 1–2 accounts per mobile proxy. You can push more, but the more accounts you stack on one IP, the higher the risk of linking and restrictions. Mobile IP rotation helps, but behavior still matters more than numbers.

In case its a rotating 4G proxy, you can have close to 10-20 accounts when rotating between each account when it starts actions.

If scaling seriously → 1 proxy = 1 device profile = 1–2 accounts beats replacing banned accounts later.

Smart scaling is about isolation, not squeezing more accounts per IP.

In such cases, everything depends on the specific platform, so it’s hard to give one universal number. You can base it on how you plan to use the accounts.

With most mobile proxies, you can’t connect from different IPs at the same time, so you won’t be able to use several accounts simultaneously on one mobile proxy. You can use this as a guideline.

However, since mobile proxies are dynamic, you can use a bunch of accounts if it fits your workflow. Around 10 accounts is usually a safe estimate, provided that you rotate the IP every time you switch accounts and use a separate fingerprint profile for each one.

If you’re scaling properly, it’s better to keep 1 proxy per device and only 1–2 accounts. Trying to cram more accounts per IP just leads to bans. Isolation wins.

From my experience, 1 mobile proxy = 1–3 Instagram accounts is the safest range. You can push more, but risk goes up fast. If you want stability long-term, keep it clean: same IP, same device profile, slow actions, and don’t mix behaviors.

It depends on mobile ISP pool of your proxy. Sometimes the ip pool can be so large so you can use many accounts on one proxy.
But the IP address is not the only thing that matters.

Depends on the proxy :) mobile proxies usually more 3-5. But you would need to test it out.

In my experience everything depends on the platform so it is hard to give a universal number

For me what I do is I create one account first and warm it up for almost a month then create the second one.

Is it better to use mobile proxies or static residential proxies for instagram automation?

So ideally, it’s one account per proxy to keep things as safe as possible. Of course, in some cases you can run two or three accounts on the same IP, but that’s something you only figure out by testing. It really depends on the proxy quality and whether that IP has been spammed before or already ended up on a blacklist.

1-2 accounts are usually ok. if these accounts are expensive and carry social/brand value, then you might want to thread carefully and invest in a good mobile proxy, fingerprint and anti detect tools. remember your user behaviour has to be human-like too

Everyone's opinion will be different, 1-3 is best you can get away with 3-5. The higher you go the more risk you take.

Where can you get really good mobile proxies for cheap?

If you use an antidetect, and even better a mobile antidetect, you can safely run 3–4 accounts on one IP.
