Mobile phones, there are more of them than computers.

People have at least two of them in heavily intergrated populations.

There is more programmers writting software apps for mobiles than for computers.

With the emergence of Wi Fi mobiles will become even more useful.

Mobile phones currently rank as the No1 must have personal accesory.

In light of all of the above BHW should meet the future of marketing and pop up a thread on mobile phones. I think the interest will be surprising to say the least.

Markeitng and monetizing application is about to become all the rage why not turm the BHW members onto it NOW ?

How exactly could we Monetize mobile phones though? I know some people have made bank by making dumb applications (fart application for example) for the iphone.

How hard is it to make a application? and is there a way to mass txt phones without it being considered spam?

I think one way to mass txt phones is first send a opt-in request and then send out the message if they accept...can even make the opt-in look like "A Nearby store is asking if you would be interested in discounts"

Java applications, that route calls through Wi Fi or VOIP, or sms/text marketing systems, or
an application that saves you plenty oin global calling, proximity marketing, call back, ext

I just ordered 2 PDAs yesterday. I plan on using them in my blackhat but for now no differently than the way I use my PC.

I would be interested in any mobile phone ideas people have.

I was just reading up on proximity marketing and think it's a very interesting new way of marketing, I know they sell the BlueTooth Broadcasters but they are so expensive and the cheaper broadcasters really don't have the kind of range or the put out that the seriously expensive ones do. My question to all you blackhatters who are obviously geniuses in this type of realm is "Can you turn your laptop into a proximity Broadcaster and if so, PLEASE share this info with the rest of us... Congratulations to the wiz on your new position, well deserved!!!

The internet is heavily staturated and most folks are desensatized or overwhelmed with information and choices, no so with mobiles. I think from now on we will see people start thinking in terms of mobile marketing and social media ect.
