Hi, I'm planning to create my own mobile app, and would like some advice on the best platform to use. I am presently considering either Xamarin or Titanium. Has anyone used these before? I would greatly appreciate any feedback. Or maybe you could recommend a platform even better than these two? Thank you!!

Take a look at PhoneGap:

Can You Code? What are you looking to do? High quality app company? Reskin? One or many platforms? Depends on what your goal is frankly. To make a data intensive I wouldn't use phonegap... But for infoapps they are fine.

Xamarin is a decent choice that is getting more and more traction. They also allow you to specify front end design to a specific platform (android, ios or windows)... html based mobile programming frameworks have a promising future but most of them lack enterprise features for larger application and the html does not always render as expected.

If you know JavaScript, Unity3D is all hands down. I think it is free till u earn $100K monthly

I actually have a lot of ideas for new games. Once you find out more about those two, maybe you'd want to team up? LOL

If you have the ideas why don't you just go to Odesk and hire somebody? Post a listing and see what offers you get - you'll see some crazy low and high numbers, talk to a few people and go for it if its in your budget

Yeah, that's one of the reasons I was considering Xamarin, they also have a free version except it's more like a limited free version. I'll have to check out Unity3D too though.

Can you name some html based mobile programming frameworks that are worth checking out?
