mobile apps vs web apps

Hi everyone,
I have been working as a web developper for over a decade now, recently I wanted to try mobile development and I am enjoying it, question is, do you think mobile apps can still make you money ( excluding games) ? do you still use any ? I am asking because I no longer use any mobile apps other than the basic applications like the "gallery" and "mail" apps, I can find anything I need as a web app right now and I don't need to download anything to use it . what do you think ?

Yeah. Mobile apps can make you money online if you can focus on SAAS.

web apps can definitely bring more users from a wide range of devices so you are not limited to mobiles only

But web apps don't have such stores as mobile apps have. And websites have much more competition than you can have one of the appstores in your niche.

I think Flutter is googles attempt to shift the needle and make your code write once, all device compatibility via the web. Android will probably end up being nothing more than a wrapper library, that anyone can package up their flutter app, within to be an app. I can see a world where there are no mobile-specific apps, and more just web apps that work on PC, mobile or TV the same. If that's the future, its already here! lol
