I am working on several Android Apps and would like to get feedback from BHW community on the best ways to monetize the following type of apps:

- utility app (exp. VPN)
- dating

Any relevant experience you may have with marketing Android apps, please share with the BHW community right here.

If you want to know the best possible way to monetize it, it is very simple to figure out: Check out the top players for this specific niche. Carefully analyse how they are monetizing their apps.

Why? Because these guys are earning millions and you can be 100% sure they spent a lot of time and money to research the best possible way to monetize. It is as simple as that.

That is a valid point, based on my research, FREE VPN apps, in most cases utilize various ad agencies to recoup their expenses on VPN servers and etc.

I am interested in exploring other avenues for revenue generation.

For the Dating app just let google run ads on your app.
I would reccomand to have a small fee per month to be paid, like 0.99$

dating apps charge upwards of €25-40 euros in my country. so you could start a little less and scale up later. Good luck

If I would want to make a dating app, I would choose a specific niche. Probably specifically for sex dating. People are willing to spend money for this. They wouldn't care a $20 monthly subscription to swipe chicks to get laid.

Otherwise, add a twist to your dating app. Like Bumble, where girls have to message boys first.

VPN apps (esp free vpn) can be monetized via SDK - safe for them and quite profitable
