Mobile 5G Proxy has a pool of 10 unique IPs WTF. Is it normal?

I bought a service for botting. i paid over $90 for a Mobile 5G Proxy that offers a pool of 10 unique IPs. WTF. Is it normal ? Shouldn't the pool be with tens of thousands of unique IPs.
Did they scam me ?
10 proxy ips would have been $5 or $10.

You don't get tens of thousands of IPs anywhere for $90. That would be worth several thousand to hundred thousand bucks!

The thing about mobile proxies is that each IP is behind a CGNAT gateway. And each IP is shared by tens of thousands of people (depending on the telecom provider).

This is what makes them untouchable by most websites. Websites know that if they ban a single IP from a mobile network, they would ban thousands of people who share it just for one person's activity.

So they don't. Instead they resort to account level bans or fingerprint devices and then restrict them.
 
If they are real 5G proxies, dedicated, it's actually cheap. I pat for $180 for a single 5G USA IP. But it's an actual dongle in the USA, from Tmobile.

Wtf. In Europe a 5G unlimited bandwidth is 7 eur per month.
These prices and the quality of these services make the services worthless.

So you basically tell me to run hundrends of instagram accounts on the same IP ?

Why some proxy service providers claim that their residential proxy has a pool of X millions IPs ?

What do you mean?
The bot is undetectable. No spam content no links. Now, I was just using about 10 and I was thinking using a unique IP helps. But why some proxy providers claim they have pools of millions of ips?

Retail price is one thing while platform price is completely another thing. Look at this another way around - They are actually buying 4G/5G modems from t-mobile (or any other provider), set it up on infrastructure they've built, provide you with dashboard access so you can manage everything from one point, give you API access for your convenience, handle overhead bandwidth with provider to keep you running, etc. Can you make it work for 7 USD/month?

Actually some of them have it but that's another story. Usually they offer their services and oversell part of subscriber's bandwidth. Imagine that you are subscriber to bigusdickus-proxy.something and you pay 10 bucks/month, for this to work you must agree to their ToS and their VPN/Proxy software will install agent on your machine, while you browse internet over someone else's IP address they are selling your bandwidth (use of your IP address and network) to another person ...

There are many ways to distinguish bots from humans with some degree of certainty. Also, while IPv4 address pool is finite and is already exhausted (almost) amount of cell phone subscribers isn't. So telco network can operate 100k of subscribers with only one IPv4 C class by sNAT implantation.

edit: Did you guys knew that 5G networks, in particular core and edge (radio part) are running inside containers like docker (implementation varies from manufacturer to manufacturer). Today everything is data - even your voice when you have phone conversation is sampled and covered to data to be transmitted over SIP protocol. You phone is just device hitting lots of endpoints inside your telco network just to be routed further (forwarded) to requested resources.

There's no such thing as "undetectable" bot activity. All you can do is keep your "suspicion threshold" low enough that their fraud prevention algos don't ban your accounts.

When you have so many accounts that share a large surface like the IP address, there will be patterns in your account activity that tie all of them together. Patterns that you can't control.

Social media websites log everything. So imagine you are running 100 accounts on one IP to follow random people. One of Insta's algorithms will be like:
"these 100 accounts are following abnormally high no of people outside of their social graph and they share the same IP, have the same language locale, and same webgl fingerprint. Must be a bot"
And your accounts get yeeted.

So yes, get more IPs if you want to be on the safer side. Idea is keep the accounts per IP ratio low enough.

Any idea of how many accounts per a mobile IP ?
 
Well, I must say 10 IPs are way too less. Time to change your provider perhaps.

You can search in the marketplace (https://www.blackhatworld.com/forums/proxies-for-sale.112/) as many sellers have listed their services there. Alternatively, you can also post in the “Want to Buy” (https://www.blackhatworld.com/forums/want-to-buy.92/) section if you have customized requirements like customized protocol requirements, locations and payment methods etc.

Thanks. So far, I am using 1 account per IP to avoid getting temporary suspensions for fb. I guess I get them because the bots are making content immediately.
 
Yeah, the thing about Mobile proxies with rotating IPs is that most web services know how providers handle their IP distributions. So it isn't a critical factor if you get the same IPs every now and then (as long as it's not repeated way too often). While I don't think you'd get tens of thousands of IPs for $90, I do think it's a little odd that you're only getting 10. 1 account per IP is also pretty solid, specially if you keep track which account goes to which IP or something. Since fingerprinting and user activity is their only other option, anti-detect browsers are one other way to make it that bit harder to get picked out.
