Mobidea Smartlink url question

Hi all, I have a Smartlink from above but I am slightly confused (doesn't take a lot! )

The URL provided contains the following:

={External_ID_from_traffic_source}&website={subID}&placement={sub_subID}

I did ask Mobidea but all I got back was one sentence:

externalid, subid etc is for you to track the stats in the tracker

which I sort of understood but my questions is do I need to replace externalID, subid etc with something?

Are you using a tracker? Did you set a postback on Mobidea platform
If yes, those parameters will be passed through your postback for you to analyse/optimise your converting traffic on your tracker stats.
If you are direct linking, those subids info will surely appears on Mobidea stats, so you can as well optimise based on which sources/subids of traffic brings you conversions
(it is optional but recommended, the more info you can get from stats, the better you can achieve a positive ROI)
