ML or IM ?

Hi am 19 yo from a 3rd world country with slow internet connection and and a low spec pc and all shit u know about living in a 3rd world country i kept learning programming for the last 3 years i have now some expert skills in the web using python and php as well and meduim skills .Net anyway this forum is about marketing and making money yes i do love IM and am interested in cpa already tried but wasn't serious enough about it now am kinda lost what should i do with my next 5 years ? IM or Learning some Advanced Deep learning stuffs but am not sure about the $$ in the AI world cause you know in my country and in africa they don't even know what is ai they only see it as a movie i have free 8 hours each day and am lost and i don't know how to invest it yet and to be specific i only want to bank hard and help my family and stuffs and for the ML is some long term learning and i have no idea if its gonna worth it Any opinions ?

why waste your time on something your not sure of the results even if your successfull in learning it will it pay your rent in your country? on the other hand IM has made people rich beyond reasonable doubt

i agree its waste of time cause i live in a 3rd world country they don't care about this and i wont get any job here with having such skill and i can't go out to eur or usa to have a job there etc ...

This is a bad mindset. You've to try everything you think that you might be interested in doing it, till you pick the one thing that you're most passionate about and enjoy it the most. I've some friends who work in Facebook, Google & Amazon as Computer Engineers and they do + six figures / year. and I know A LOT of people who are working their a$$es off in Internet Marketing/Digital marketing and they can barely make $1000/m.

There is money to be made in everything.. Try to focus more on WHAT YOU LIKE TO DO instead of WHAT WOULD MAKE YOU MORE MONEY.

By the way, I was enrolled in Computer Engineering college (one of the highest ranked C.E schools in Eurooe) and dropped out after few semesters. I thought I love programming but when I took it seriously I knew that it's not for me.

So basically you'll never know. Try by yourself. And also I'm from a "third world country" in Africa.

It is bs!, I live in a generic "banana country" and programmers earn really well, here and practically everywhere. Every businesses need one. Or you could could as freelancer.

Since you are an expert then what are you done?.

Focus on building practical skills. If I was you, i'd learn to be both an internet marketer and a full stack developer so you can make your own SaaS which could potentially bring you passive income streams. There's a lot of demand for this skill set and it allows you to build an income from scratch, knowing what to do end to end.

am already kinda full stack developer its easy compared to a data scientist or an AI engineer

That's good, you should do what you feel you're passionate about. All of these skills can make money one way or the other but there's no point doing anything if you're not going to enjoy it. For data science/AI you're mostly going to want to join tech startups/big tech companies in USA so it may be hard for you unless you can secure a remote position or work as a freelancer. I'd say it's a growing market though so it's a smart decision to pursue it if you're thinking long term.

You know the best advantage while living in a 3rd world country? You can get clients from 1st world countries, work with them and make alot of money.

Use it to your advantage. Your country doesn't know ML or AI or all that technological advancement, show teach them. Tell them what opportunities awaits with AI and stuff, then either you sell them a product or service that caters to them.

You'll have a slimmer chance getting clients from 1st world countries while you're not PHYSICALLY there. Unless, you're providing a small service.. but If you tried to promote a full SEO service for local companies in the US while you're not living there it will be harder for you to close them. and I got very clear responses saying (We would prefer/We have found a LOCAL company to work with). Just saying
