Mixed or focused website.

Should i go with mixed website about news so i mean news about almost everything updated daily like newspaper.

Or focus on one thing example gaming and write only about gaming ?

Even just writing about gaming will keep you busy. I posted about this same niche yesterday having a lot of sub-categories. Such as gaming engines, console versus PC, latest releases, earlier releases, game reviews, etc. If gaming interests you more than overall news, then by all means make a gaming focused website. But, if you would like to pull traffic from every direction, make a new website that reports on all subject matter.
 
Just start with focused and then slowly add everything... :)
 
Stick to one niche. Running a news website is no joke and the work can quickly get overwhelming. Good luck !
 
stay focused to one and get yourself specialized in that particular niche will surely attract more visitors
with your focused content on that matter.
 
I would stick with the one niche, however make sure you create Silos for your LSI keywords and funnel all of the traffic to your money page via easy to rank keyword pages
 
It really depends how much time you have and how much you can write.
But as a general rule, I would say more specialized is better.
 
I would say focused, as mixed topics would require more resources to break even.
 
Being focused is best, your content should be the matter of the top and be specialized in the particular niche to get a best result..

I'm going to go with everyone else on this one: focus only on gaming. Even if you have a large team, you would still be extremely busy with all of the news that you could report on.
 
I went with mixed focus on a herbal products site - and it's tricky. Much easier to start with one topic, maybe two, and once you have traffic you can diversify if you want. It's partly that people know exactly what they do when they hit your site, but also that Google should know too (if the site is structured right).
