Misleading Reviews

Hi,
My client got attacked by a competitor. I tried everything under the sun to get them to cooperate and remove the negative and very slanderous comments.

At this point, I am looking at a flagging service to get the comments removed. Would this be an effective way?


I know that if you flag something enough, it will attract Google to look at the issues.

I'd be interested in hearing other tactics to getting slanderous & libelous comments removed.


Things I have done.

Written letters, approached the company, More letters, telephone company to their ISP.

The competitor has told me to f**k off a few times.

First where are the negatives posted? Review sites? Complain sites? On the competitor's domain?

Few initial thoughts with the little info you provided:

DMCA to their host, most hosts are just middle men so try and get to the main host, also DMCA their domain name provider. Follow up by a threatening letter by your attorney (tell your attorney to turn up the bullshit in the letter), you won't sue cause no one does but no one wants to take the risk.

I have not heard of any 'flagging services' can you point me in their direction? I'd like to test this out too.

Then submit the competitor's site to ALN, leave links on their site's comment sections to malicious sites Google already has flagged ... I'm just kidding! Don't bow to their lvl.

They are posted on Google's places. I can't use the DCMA in this case, but I think I might have an idea.

I thought there might be such a thing as a flagging service that can repeatedly mark a thread as inappropriate or something along those lines.
