    You may also use zimplit to get the page cloned and edit from backend with WYSIWYG kind of editor. its free and 100% newbie friendly just need to upload html files as is on the server.

    Main page

    Code:
    http://www.zimplit.com/index.html
    Demo

    Code:

    Would creating a mirror of a site be virtually the same thing as iframing 100% of a site?

    Not exactly. What this does is make the homepage of your site mirror the html of the target site, but all images, links, stylesheets, etc point to their proper location on the target site.

    To edit the page you'd have to store the request output in a variable, parse it and reassemble it however you see fit.

    It would be pretty complicated. You could use a DOM library or regular expressions or a number of things to manipulate it. What you probably want to do instead of the PHP thing is just put:

    Code:
    <base href="http://yahoo.com">
    and after that copy and paste the source of the yahoo home page. Or whatever you're mirroring. Of course it won't update with the actual site.

    I wonder would using a mirror script be beneficial for Google Adwords, particularily, when dealing with Display URL issues.

    good topic, i just got finish talking about this in another thread.

    I cloned my affiliate landing page manually (copy&pasted) as my main website, but i have a redirect in place so it wouldn't make a difference if its seen or not, just to look legit if the redirect was disabled by a AM.

    But this does the exact same thing right? just loads from the real server?

    ill have to try this out. But isn't cloning a landing page against some TOS's ?
