Hey guys, I know a guy who sells AWS accounts with $1500 credit for around $100. I was thinking of buying one and using a GPU enabled instance to mine Ethereum.

It makes a lot of sense on paper, so what am I missing here? I feel like everyone would do it if it was this easy

Interested to hear opinions on this as well.

But at first I don't think AWS will offer you a machine powerful enough to give you a positive ROI on it.

This is a recurrent topic lately.
AWS will shut down any suspicious activity regarding cryptomining on their GPU instances
Considering that this guys that sells this credits don't offer any refunds, you will lose all your money if you try this.
With a little bit of luck you may recover at least in a cryptocurrency the 10% you invested in the credits.

Any miner running on server will be shutdown sooner or later . Most probably your account will be suspended before getting even ROI . So use only when you know how to run those instance on longer way.

Mining ETH is no longer profitable, on AWS or elsewhere.

I'd rather start staking AVAX or ADA, much more profitable and staking is the future rather than mining IMO.

You can mine other coins instead of Eth, but that's not the point, there are tricks to make aws close accounts later and to earn more income, unfortunately there are not many resources to learn them.

Mining Ethereum using a VPS whatever configuration, is no longer profitable and your AWS or whatever VPS service will get suspended if you try as AWS VPS any configuration does not have the hardware to support Ethereum or even Bitcoin mining.
Exceptions are there where certain VPS providers provide VPS with such configuration. Even then not profitable as such hardware supported VPS are of high prices.

aws is allowed to mining! with money no with credit!
if you mining with credit the account is disabled!
