What would you guys say is the minimum investment require to start a dropshipping or would you say you can start at any level

Depends on how you will promote it. At least a few hundreds ... sometimes for some players a few hundreds it`s not even enough to test ads.

What`s your plan? Ads / Social media organic or SEO ?

Depends on traffic source and your niche. But in my opinion - minimum-minimum to test something 1000$

If the site is ready - 1000$ would give you a start.. If your battle plan is decent you will make enough back to manipulate bit with numbers and flip your site for a 3000 $ to start again with more experience or just to move on with something else. I wouldn't start with 300-500 USD.

Around $1k, don't start when you have below that, Cost of advertising will eat up all your margin until you find out the real winning product

I started with $200 but with a low budget, it takes longer to achieve any results. Also depends on how you are going to advertise, with Instagram shoutouts you can start with $300-500 but with FB ads, Google ads I would suggest at least 2k.

It's traffic from my FB pages and instagram followers. Is it realistic to start with 1k?

My traffic source is mostly from my FB pages and instagram followers and my budget is 1k.

if your budget is very tight and you wana promote through social media then i suggest you to contact some big page owners they can promote you [you need to bargain with them]

It fits with my budget but I never thought about flipping the site in the future. That is a great option.

The traffic source is going to be a combination of FB and instagram. I'd like to see results quicker so I can adjust. I hope 1k can help me do that.

My budget is 1k and I got a couple of FB pages and Instagram accounts myself but I'm planning on promotion through other people social media pages to

In my opinion you need at least $500. Split it 50/50. $250 for Advertising and $250 for products and other costs. You need to start with IG shoutout so that you can have enough pixel for FB Ads. In the mean time you can have some sales to scale up your investment. Also try email marketing to promote your site.
Thanks

Hi Mate,

Based on my experience, it's approximately 1.5K for niche products.

Cheers,

I believe 800-1300$ for FB+IG are good for a start and if used cleverly, will be adequate for 'testing'.

start by making a free oberlo account and you can start seeing top products for promoting and then rip some landing page and buy a domain for $10 and youll need about $200-$500 for split testing on facebook / insta / snapchat traffic thats my advice but of course it also comes down to your expertise and if you are capable of setting up some ads , or JV with someone 50/50 might work just as good but you have double the knowledge for half the risk cheers

To start my own Dropshiiping store form the Company called HostDel.
1) Health Store ( 250$)
2) Android + Windows Phone Apps (80$)
3) Hosting To Host the Store (10$ p.m)
4) SSL (9$ Per annum)

Total Build Cost was around 400$

And i promote via facebook and google paid search ads with daily budget of 10$

Planning to get another store with women's niche .. Will post the details once things are done ;)
