Just a few questions about MNS and how to get he best out of them.

1. What do most of use for making the site itself? I assume most of you stick with WP. Do any of you use any kind of popular MNS template. Is there such an animal?

2. Is adsense the most popular way of monetizing? Whats your take on using affiliate products and CPA on mini niche sites?

3. When starting one, whats your take on blackhat vs whitehat SEO? Is it good to start off with some whitehat or manual blog commenting and such before getting into blackhat to keep your site safe?

4. What type of SEO in your opinion serves mns the best? What I mean is, for example how many of you would run a scrapebox blast right off the bat? Or an xrumer blast?

Also, I've searched, but if any of you know some good MNS tutorials on or off BHW, please post them. :D Thanks.

Thanks for your input guys. :)

1.) Most people use Wordpress, few may use other CMS' and a handful will build out sites in html/php.

There are quite a few MNS templates out there like clickbump, xfactor, heatmap theme, etc. They all have their pros/cons but I would advise using a theme/design that keeps more content above the fold as the new Google algo tweaks go after thin MFAs with more ads above the fold.

Not to mention, Google's tolerance with spammy looking sites is decreasing over time so just stick with a fairly conservative setup from the beginning. Try not to go overboard with crazy CTR either, be satisfied with anything up to 5% IMO.

2.) Adsense is mostly preferred because it's set and forget. No time spent signing up for CPA networks, split testing offers, low conversions, etc. If you do some research on your site demographics and geo-target your visitors you might be able to cash in more than adsense on affiliate or CPA offers.

3.) For the most part, you don't need a lot of SEO prowess to rank an MNS. A handful of links, well optimized content and on-page and a good domain will see you ranking VERY quickly. I would say stick to the basics automating web 2.0, blog posts, etc and that'll be more than enough.

4.) As mentioned above, stick to basic good links like web 2.0 contextual, blog posts, bookmarks, etc and you'll be fine.

You can always use CPA or affiliate banners along with adsense. There are lot of templates for wordpress that are suitable for this kinds of sites, like ctr, clickbump, coscrates and more.

Wordpress ofc, it is the easiest platform to handle, and not only that, there are several plugins which are very usefull if you want to rank the site and manage it better. And ofc you can find MNS templates, try CTR theme or any other similar theme, some also like the Thesis theme for CPA offers.

>> Is adsense the most popular way of monetizing? Whats your take on using affiliate products and CPA on mini niche sites?

Well, the purpose of MNS sites is that they are easy to rank, if something is easy to rank, then it should apsolutely be monetized :) If you have keywords which have a High CPC then adsense is the best way to monetize it, if it has a low CPC then go with CPA companies (stronger ads, leadbolt etc.)

Always start with whitehat methods, blog comments, high PR comments, contextual backlinking, you never know what the competition is, some sites rank by only putting the EMD in to the domain name. Why spend more money/time then you need to? :)

Blog comments, High PR comments and contextual backlinks (blog networks), my opinion

For most of the sites i use , wp

I use the affiliate marketing over adsense, google banned the account of adsense very quicky, so beware from google adsense, i will suggest you to make your money and site secure.

Please go for white hat seo and mix of link building is much helps you to take on your path and also pls keep the patience till you get the ranking and results

I hope these answer are enough to motivate you

Best of luck!!

thanks for the quality answers guys

WordPress is the good option for your site and go with the white hat to make money in the beginning then after that you can think about black hat.

I say stick with WP, it's powerfull and google likes it, gets you indexed fast.

Adsense is an option, atleast until you get your site some real traffic then you can go into cpa or contact relevant people to become partners.
