Love that game. Haven’t played it for years.

I still fail to understand the point of this game haha.. i mean.. why should I click those buttons and why do they blow sometimes? Is there any logic to it? Sorry for being dumb/hijacking the thread :p

every cell has a number of how much mines surrounding it , so if it has a number 1 then it's only surrounded by 1 mine and you've to figure out where it is exactly

Aha. Makes sense now, thanks :D

Only your first move needs pure luck...You might step on a mine and it's The End of your e-life for a game!

Many moves, may be minimum 5 times more after that, if you survive the first move, are logical, and with a bit of luck involved. The hint of how many mines are around the exposed square/s are given, and you begin applying logic. That is, you begin using the flags and calculate how many of the surrounding square could be mines, or safe fields, etc.

After those initial first few moves, the logical part becomes very easy and you're able to solve the puzzle until at the end, it becomes really a part of luck when applying logic almost fails, and it becomes very confusing to check all probabilities, if that is the right word!

I love that game, and play it in pro mode...Don't remember the exact name of that full mode, the expert mode, but my first 4-5 moves are sheer gamble, lol. Once my moves open a couple of big safe fields, then I stop the cheating part and apply logic to it ...Honestly. hahahaha. Normally I'm able to solve the entire puzzle more times than not, then!

I remember using that game since the early 1990s, when it appeared on the PC XT model it was...Have been in love with it since then.

I never knew that those numbers tells us the # of mines. I was always randomly clicking and trying to get lucky lol.

I have no idea how to say it but you can solve it from your bottom left.

Flag the box next to the 2nd Number 2 counting from the bottom left up, there you go. :D
