Mind sharing some tips please? Getting my feet wet with PPV first time !

Hey guys, I would appreciate any help, I have just started for a couple days ago with PPV as I always wanted to test those things and this is the moment.

So I deposited 200$ in Media Traffic and currently testing some offers from Peerfly. What I read around, everywhere you see "test test test, track track track" etc.

Well all I want for the moment is to get HORDES of traffic, but that is simply not happening and I don't understand why, and I honestly can't understand how mediatraffic works lol.

I mean for a test I took an email submit offer from peerfly, something with Mariah Carey - Will she be a good mother?

And I bidded on every celebrity blog that I found with high traffic, and on a lot of keywords with mariah carey like mariah carey babies, mc twins, mc songs, etc etc.

Now what happened is I got for the last 3 days about 471 VIEWS in media traffic , and in peerfly its showing me 473 CLICKS.

I sent the traffic directly to the offer to see what's gonna happen. Of course, no conversion.

Can anyone please share some tips ? What's the best way to do this ? Make a nice pop-up banner with a strong call to action to lead into a landing page then from there to the offer? Or how ?

Please share any tips or recommend some good downloads on this subject! Thanks !

Media traffic is hard to convert.

How many urls do you have??

I have added for this MC campaign 17 URLS and 10 keywords.
The thing is I bided on sites with huge traffic, for example TMZ.com - 11Million uniques / month...

From my expectations, I was wanting to see the 10$ / day budget to go BAM BAM in 10 mins. But it's just not that way.

What can convert on media traffic ? You have success in other networks ?

I'm also interested in ppv, just unsure how to make the views convert.

Dude, this is the first time I created a PPV account, what's so funny ? I got the idea, will add more urls and everything, but I thought that by bidding on those huge traffic websites, I will get a lot of traffic...

Anyway there is no need to act so funny.. thanks.

It's all about right tracking, and a lot of spending until you get the right keywords to the right site.

You have to consider, that the people often just click off your ad and are blind towards it.

Then you have to keep car to use exact keyword, not sure how it is handled on MediaTraffic. Like for example, when there's "Dog Training" you get also the views from just "Training" which can be about everything.

Other then that, pay attention to an good landing page. Make a realllly good one, stick to the points how best converting landing pages are built around. If you don't know how to handle Photoshop -> outsource.

Try also various niches, various sites (Clickbank, CPA, ... )

Another good advice: Install yourself the MediaTraffic Hotbar or a different one, and look what works for others.

sorry bro. but do not be so emotional.

It is funny because I just did a campaign...
and i had 4500 urls...
Most of my campaigns have over 3000 urls to start...

that is why 17 and 10 is funny...


but I will be quiet and leave you alone with your campaign...

Allow me to apologize for the jerks. They seem to come to the forums to laugh at people and feel superior. Some of us will try to help.

With PPV you need to have hundreds of keywords and hundreds of URL's. The more, the better.

Media traffic to me seems to convert better, as someone mentioned, with a custom landing page.

Here's one thing you can try. If you have a general offer, set up a run of network campaign, bid $0.004 per impression, and set your daily limit to 10.00. This will give your offer quick broad exposure, and the cost is much less. Sometimes this helps me spot a hot site to target directly. (Disclaimer, I have not done this with MT, but I have with other PPV providers.)

If I were you also, I would go to a site called "the immediate edge". Sign up for their 7 day trial for $5. As soon as your trial starts, download everything you can get our hands on about PPV and Tracking. Cancel after you finish the siterip.

Learning to properly track will be the difference in succeeding with PPV . You must find the sites that your offer will convert at, then concentrate on that site and finding similar sites. To do this you must understand the stats enough to base your decisions on. Track everything.

The object is to find a site that will convert into clicks for an offer, then find both sites similar enough to the one that converts to run your ads on, as well as other offers that will convert these sites.

Then, you need to start tweaking your ads and landing pages, to get them to convert better.

You have to convert the raw traffic into your traffic, then convert your traffic into paying customers. This is two distinct steps.

You need thousands of impressions to chart a course, do not be afraid to bid low on keywords, a lot of times you will get a campaign approved, but you will not get the prime exposure. PPV companies will generally squeeze your offers in and take your money.


Master using Prosper 202/tracking 202 or some other tracking software before you start doing any serious PPV. The testing and tracking is vital, you are throwing away money if you do this incorrectly.

Dude I appreciate the help but I was pissed off yesterday and your laughing kinda touched me lol. I wouldn't get offended or anything if it came from someone else, you catch me ?

Albaniax: yeah I read on some blog about the "trick" to install myself the hotbar. Did a little research and for mediatraffic it's a screensaver called VOMBA. Will do that later on to find what others are doing.

Thanks everyone, one more question, do you recommend to make a popup or popunder ?!

The only time I had any luck with pop unders was in the florist niche, by targeting funeral homes. When people find the funeral home to see where to go for the funeral, and click away, the ad to send flowers was exposed.
