Mimic Copyscape

I am looking at adding copyscape functionality into my own program without requiring Copyscape account. Anyone have any ideas how this can be done? I know I saw one or two pieces of software that mimic copyscape functionality without using CopyScape. Would love to figure out an algorithm that works and isn't super intensive by doing a ton of searches to test one iteration.
