Microsoft to acquire Activision Blizzard for $68.7 billion

To this day, I still play Diablo II every few months..

Why? They haven’t made a good game since 2016, everything they tried was pressured out prematurely by activision. I think it’s fucking great.

Why? Because Microsoft can't take care of it's main project.. what about games :D.

Plus Blizzard managed to keep me awake for 36h of non stop playing during my first WoW Vanilla days.

From M$ have enjoy only headaches due to their bugged OS . Not to mention the lack of security

Good old times. I played WoW 10-15 hours per day from Vanilla to early Warlords of Draenor.

If they want to fuck with Sony, they will make COD MS/Xbox exclusive. :)

About 6-8 years ago there was a rumor circulating that Microsoft was in the works to buy blizzard. I've been waiting a decade for that rumor to come true lol. I hope it's going to be a positive for wow, as i would love to get readdicted to it. It's just not the same anymore, and i stoped playing a long time ago. Only went back for classic vanilla, skipped classic-TBC. I also played the start of shadowlands and will probably try out the next xpack for a month or 2 like usual.

Classics were fun just like i expected, but the community ruined them. Today's gamers just aren't the same as they used to be - everything has to be min-maxed to death, everyone knows what they're doing, it's just not fun.

What we need is a new wow expansion that can bring the classic vanilla to wrath vibes but with all new things to discover. Will Microsoft be able to do it? Time will tell.

Also we might actually get D4 in a timely manner instead of the next decade so that's nice... Also master chief in overwatch? Melee? I could go for that.

Microsoft can't take care of main project, i mean they are doing well with openai, teams and others project. if you mean windows i mean its pretty ok

As per video games they made sea of thieves, minecraft is better now than ever, Forza, Halo, AOE ? all good.
So yeah Microsoft has evolved a lot in the past years and are not a dumpster fire anymore.

Erm.. I never liked the Pixel game so can't tell.

Anyway it doesn't matter who's the owner but who's the developer :D I guess they will keep the devs etc so.. it doesn't matter.

Windows.. yah I guess its "ok" for the average user.

I hope this is true I’ll give Microsoft the benefit of the doubt

In my opinion, whilst Blizzard games don't really have the same spirit they used to, I'm not looking forward to Microsoft's acquisition of Blizzard.

I heard they acquired Bethesda last year as well, but hopefully they don't completely disregard how much the modding community does for those games.

Did you ever try the remaster?
