I guess everyone knows already that Windows 10 will be available for free for the first year.

Well yesterday they announced that even people running pirated copies of Windows 7 and 8 will be offered free updates to Windows 10.

The reason they are doing it is because they believe that over time, people will realise the value in running legitimate software.

Whatever their reasons, any of you who are running pirated copies of Windows and are going to be very happy.

And according to the article, even people with older copies of Windows can benefit, as they will technically be able to pirate Windows 7/8 and then upgrade to 10 for free.

I am guessing this will be good news for a lot of you guys :)

This is a good tactic imo. Personally, I feel more compelled to buy a product if I know it's good first. That's why we test drive cars.

Keep away from windows 10 for as long as you can
They want more of your personal information, and once installed is cant be removed

Great move on Microsoft for finding out on pirates, but now they've basically devalued their Windows product.
    It can - it's called a Windows 7 or 8 disc :)

Yes, you will be able to upgrade but it won't make your windows legally licensed.

A good decision for Microsoft IMO. Somewhat of a rebuttle after the terrible logic behind the last version of windows.
