Currently in talks, don't know if this will be good or bad, guessing bad. Big outlay likely means higher prices

Yeah, nice find.

I had heard about this a few dif times in the last 10-12 mos
but it's starting to sound like it'll come to fruition here soon.

I think MS should be savvy enough to make it work :)

Change is a very constant variable....

For some strange reason i hate monopoly

I feel it will lead to increase in usage fees and all.

Reminds me of ISP providers in India.Earlier there were like 2 companies in the market and their prices were high and since then several companies have come up and competiton lead to decrease in prices (which is good for us customers:))

I hate big corporations controlling lot of things .Even google lol! In the same breath i also have to say,i don't think there is anyone offering stiff challenge to to google atm.

I remember back in the beginning when the guys that invented it only did so for their own use so they could not be tracked by authorities

they had a few P2P networks and were getting busted a lot, so they invented skype to talk amongst themselves

Seems to have paid off in the long run

Janus Friis and Niklas Soenderstroem + the other small investors weren't on P2P networks lol.

Skype Ebay? Don't think so, well I use skype a lot, hope they dont do big changes!

They were working with a guy called Mark Dyne who ultimately owned Kazaa, he was the one that brokered the deal to Ebay and made himself $1b out of it, Dyne because of Kazaa needed a safe platform to discuss things on....Skype

did not think my memory was playing tricks, Skypes founders were also founders of Kazaa

When other people have great ideas and make 1 thing and they make it good, in the long run, they retire with just 1 sale

I guess we'll never retire, and we'll keep making little pennies compared with others...xD:rolleyes:

Janus Friis has made some poor investments lately though.

And yes. Kazaa was made by the same people as Skype. Janus Friis was involved in this.

Ah fuck, another good product probably altered not for the best. Microsoft sucks balls.
