MicroNiche sites

Looking to do something with Adsense so considering putting up a few microniche sites. Started looking around and noticed there isn't much recent content about them. A few years ago it was the "thing" everyone was making them. Before I start throwing money at it I was wondering if it's worth it?

Not so much about the money, more for me to do something and try to get back into the Internet Marketers frame of mind but at the same time I don't want to start something that's not going to get anywhere.

Perhaps Id be better off trying to make one big site instead of several small ones. So many possibilities.

Authority sites are better to learn with as they hold long term value.

Rather than scrambling with 5 sites *which may be a bit too big for starters*, aim at mastering the art of SEO / Link building tactics so you can increase growth speed on something bigger.

Micro niche site is a good way to start. Get 6-7 articles up and rank them. Once these are ranking well, expend your site. That's how I grow my own sites

Start with simple 2-5 post site, increase number of posts with time you will learn and site will grow too. It's worth if done correctly.

If you are going for MNS site then the first step should be keyword research.. Remember larger the search volume more it will take time to rank. 1000-3000 search volume keyword are safe to start the site..

I learned these things from mistake and mistakes. Hope you will learn from other person mistakes

I know it's hard to answer but how much could someone make on a relatively new site with say a 1500 search volume?

I've got a few MNS on the go just now and over time have added to the blog posts on them a fair bit. It's gotten to the stage that I'm also writing blog posts on it promoting other peoples products/sites. It's not a massive money spinner but it's a nice little bonus.
What I would suggest though is that if you build a quality site that you look into the Amazon CPM ads side of things. You'll get paid for impressions instead of clicks. I normally use these adverts on the side widget of the site since they're easily seen and it's brining in a modest income.
